i just build.
backend is where i get my thrill. designing the system, picking the architecture, making sure the thing doesn't fall over at 3am. that part is mine. the frontend is just so people can see it.
right now that means a GitHub app that notices when a vendor API drifts and opens the fix as a PR, so nobody has to fix code that wasn't broken yesterday. it watches 6+ vendors already, anthropic, openai, stripe, resend and slack among them.
i genuinely like helping people out and meeting people who are building things. if you're working on something interesting, or weird enough to be interesting, email me. no pitch needed.
python on the backend, postgres underneath, react on top, shipped end to end.
drawing the boxes, deciding what talks to what, getting the schema right before any code exists.
fastapi for nearly everything. java when the job calls for it. boring, predictable apis over clever ones.
postgres, always. real constraints, proper indexes, migrations nobody fears.
first commit to production, start to finish. when i'm locked in, things ship early. tested, though.
react and tailwind on the web. swift for iphone and mac, shipped both. kept simple on purpose.
building something? stuck on something? just want to talk shop? i reply fast. probably awake, i don't really sleep. 3am emails welcome
